UhOh..Putin's party offices were on fire, just hours after Mob Boss Cortese flips in ItalyLink to tweet **Not saying for certain there's a connection between the 2 incidents, (just coincidental perhaps) BUT This Mob Story is damned fascinating nonetheless. FILE UNDER, "KNOW YOUR MOBSTERS" Link to tweet REGGIO CALABRIA, NOV 11 - The acting boss of one of the most powerful clans in Italy's richest and most powerful mafia, the Calabria-based 'Ndrangheta, has started collaborating with police from his prison cell, police said Wednesday. This is a major breakthrough as he is the first 'Ndrangheta boss to help police. The Calabrian organisation's rule of silence or 'omertà' is even tighter than that of Cosa Nostra in Sicily, its older but less powerful cousin. Maurizio Cortese, considered to be the 'regent' of the Serraino clan, has decided to become a confidential informant, judicial sources said. Police said they hoped his turning state's evidence will help them fight 'Ndrangheta, which controls the European cocaine trade and has infiltrated the economies of Italy and many other countries. (ANSA). ****** Just Who Is The Calabrian Organisation? FROM 2007...LATIMES: https://www.latimes.com/world/la-fg-cocainearchive-dec272007-story.html?_amp=true&__twitter_impression=true Little-known mafia is cocaine ‘king’ BY TRACY WILKINSON DEC. 27, 2007 GIOIA TAURO, ITALY — Europe is fast overtaking the U.S. as the leading destination for the world’s cocaine, and a single Italian mafia is largely responsible. The ‘Ndrangheta crime syndicate, a ruthless and mysterious network of 155 families born in the rough hills here in southern Italy’s Calabria region, now dominates the European drug trade. By establishing direct ties with Colombian producers and building a multibillion-dollar empire that spans five continents, the syndicate has metamorphosed into one of the craftiest criminal gangs in the world, authorities say. “ ‘Ndrangheta is king,” said Sabas Pretelt de la Vega, a former Colombian interior minister who is his country’s ambassador to Rome. The ‘Ndrangheta (pronounced en-DRAHN-geh-tah) peculiarly combines the modern skills of multinational-corporation high finance with a stubborn grip on archaic rural traditions. Some members live in garishly opulent villas outside Madrid and invest in bustling restaurants and hotels in Germany, whereas others, including key bosses, remain in the dreary, closed Calabrian mountain villages of their birth. It is a mafia of businessmen in Dolce & Gabbana, of sheepherders in scruffy woolens.

4. Whoa. If so, we may be witnessing the implosion of the Global Crime Syndicates.
The oldest mobsters in history vying for the ultimate territory.
Trump better leave us the hell out of it. What else has he sold off to Russia & Saudi besides our weapons systems. All I gotta say is, who's the biggest mob boss ratting out to the Italian police? There are some interesting replys on those Twitter links.. |

I don't know what it means, but if there is a connection maybe Putin is in for some hurt. It would be nice to take his mind of us for a change.

He just better not involve the US.

It’d be nice to see Putin take it in the shorts for a change. After all the trouble he’s caused us - and who knows how many others in how many other nations!

11. Still don't see any grounds for thinking there might be a connection...
Even if it could be shown that Putin or his party had ties to the Italian crime family, why would they need to destroy evidence back in Russia, where one would assume the government could keep the lid on any embarrassing disclosures. Now, had it been the Russian embassy in Italy that had burned, I’d have been more suspicious. As it is, it seems that these are two separate events with no connection.

15. There was a NY Russian mafia show on cable Saturday. They talked about how the Russian mafia
began working with the Italian mafia in New York City in the 80's.
It was extremely interesting. I could see that Putin is no genius: with Trump, he was merely using the tactics used in the 80's—but on a much higher level, of course. |

18. Wow! Dots are being connected. I'd have liked to see that show.
I'm going to do a search on Direct TV of shows on NY Russian mafia. See what comes up.
That kinda makes things more curious when Pres Obama expelled the Russians. And then there's this reply in the Twitter story. Seems RU HQ's have a problem with fires! Remember this similar incident? Just sayin... Link to tweet The replies in the twitter threads are great. |

28. Really Tied Together In The 90s
Started in the 80s, but by the 90s, with the mafia reeling due to RICO, & the Russian outfit getting intensified scrutiny, they pulled a Luciano.
They went all in on a Commission style operation and no more wars. Cocaine & heroin distribution went dark, and the DEA has been behind on that trail for 25 years. The Calabria outfit spilling its guts may change things on the coke side, though. |

19. People losing control. Of what?
Trump desperately trying to assert some internal controls in the IC and DOD before leaving. Maybe to cover something up ?
PUTIN announced he was stepping down next year, if you believe it, and rumors of Parkinson's. Now his roof is on fire as though maybe burning to cover something up ? All in conjunction(?) With an Italian mob boss flipping to spill his guts. I wouldn't dismiss them as totally unconnected, yet. |

21. Didn't McCabe just say there was some much darker info about Trump?
He was doing an interview
Will see if I can locate the clip of it. It had to do with Trump's firing all NatSec lifers & it had to do with Trump keeping his darkest dealings from being known |

An old apartment building burned in Moscow, per what is being reported.
I haven't seen anything other than the tweet claiming the building was Putin's party headquarters. |

None of them has a report of a fire at Putin party offices.
I'd think that would merit at least a passing mention, minus the speculation about what it might mean. |

23. Even if there were a party office in the building,
why would Russia burn a building in Russia, because of a crime boss in Italy?
Italy would never be allowed to search a building in Russia. At least this theory would make a bit of sense of the building was in Italy. But the building is in Russia. |

26. Speculation being the fact that crime bond between Russia & ..
...the ‘Ndrangheta crime syndicate dates back to the 80's/90's.
They're old business partners in mobster-ing. Prob has something to do with the old RU Mob Boss, Semion Mogileviich https://allthatsinteresting.com/semion-mogilevich Why Russian Crime Lord Semion Mogilevich Lives Up To His Title As ‘The World’s Most Powerful Mobster’ Worth a read. 😬 As far as the Fire..it's just a wild connection based on other sudden rooftop fires that occurred shortly after RU was ordered to exit a country, like the US.. |
