The Good News: We found out that it takes a malevolent POTUS more than four years

...to destroy our 250 year old democracy. The Bad News: We found out that a malevolent POTUS, in four years, can almost destroy our 250 year old democracy.

Way too close for comfort.

have been rethinking Citizens United because in 2018 and 2020 we as Democrats were able to use it against them. Nonetheless, we definitely need to somehow get big money out of politics. I don’t know how we can do it given the 6-3 advantage conservatives have on the Supreme Court.

So many people in the US are so damn brain-dead when they vote. They just can't seem to comprehend the big picture of what is occurring and they fall for misinformation and propaganda ... must as, "The Cult of Trump."

If we had a healthier media environment, Trump could not have gotten close. If we had a less robust free press, Trump would have succeeded. So much respect has been invested in the Presidency by Americans over many generations. Our political system never developed anti-bodies to this degree of abuse at that high a level.

had left out his crazy acts some he might have seen more normal, I think. Apparently it does not take too much to make some people believe something is normal. With Trump, I think a common core was/is racism.

AZ, GA, and WI. I said to my daughter before the election that it was a coin flip and it was.

We better figure out what happened in Wisconsin. The polls were way off. It hasn't got a lot of discussion because it was called early, but Trump's people have been tromping around the state trying to flip it.

I’ve learned in the past four years that our executive branch has far too much power. A better way of governing would probably be a parliamentary system like Canada, the UK, etc.
