available, and to begin the set up for portable freezer units for every state all across the nation. Their location should be near or on site of city hospitals, as needed, and where the vaccine would be continually in stock for immediate use. Also, have refrigerated trucks at the ready for pick up and delivery to transport the vaccines to other smaller hospitals/clinics. Having said that- I'm assuming Biden has a plan
but I wonder how he will deal with the massive funding without congress.

(12,557 posts)in particular. The temperature this must be kept at makes it very expensive to deal with. You won't be able to go to Walgreens and get it, unless they pony up the money to keep it cold enough. If someone isn't careful and it goes below the temp it needs, and then they give it to someone it can be catastrophic.
Science people, this is all about science. After seeing Biden's task force I feel much better that they know what they are doing with regard to rolling this out. I doubt highly you will see it out there until after Biden is sworn in, this President doesn't give a damn.

(5,785 posts)It is actually one of the only things that I think the Trump admin has done well. It is well worth buying vaccines before they are approved to speed any expected availability when/if they are approved. Putting army logisticians in charge is a good plan. They know how to get shit done on a massive scale.
It is well worth a watch.
There are massive challenges to overcome but this video gave me confidence that serious people are working on it.
