Trump has made the following tactical moves:
1. Gutted the Defense Department and installed his toady as Secretary.
2. Established a DOJ that acts as his personal law firm and has teed up frivolous prosecutions of vote-counting 3. Has his SoS representing to the world that he has already won 4. Has half the Senate bullied into total compliance 5. Has the current FBI and CIA directors teetering on the brink And so on. Is it just me, or is this worrying?

1. Madness that the GOP supports, if the PA GOP interferes in election the way it sounds
like they might, we need to physically and overtly DEFEND our country.
Those FUCKERS need to know their act will be met with an act of historical patriotism.... ![]() |

The military still won’t deploy in the streets to keep him i. Power.
The career military generals won’t stand for it. |

That they finally run across the right psychopath who'll order something crazy? Chaos can disrupt lines of command.

13. My paranoia is that by removing so many professionals...
Trump has set up a situation where he could take a totally unprecedented act (arresting Joe Biden, for example) and the institutions would be too disrupted to resist him.

6. So, just like the past four years.
Got it.
He's a toddler throwing a tantrum, just like he's done every time he didn't get his way over the past four years. The only difference is that he'll be out the door on January 21st. In the end, nothing he does will change that. |

10. A little worry goes a long way, but enough now. 1) true 2) true 3) The world knows the truth 4) true
5) tRump is a vengeful petty man. If he is busy firing people he is not busy doing other mischief. If he has only acting heads, then they won't have much authority during the 10 weeks to do much and won't have the respect of the staff if the doing is dastardly. I think tRump is mostly a spent force, but there is some weird kompromat or excessive fear of primaries held over Republicon members of Congress. |

29. 'Licans are convinced that Trump will be a force for years to come...
While I think he'll begin to wither as soon as the spotlights are turned down. He'll try to keep whipping up controversy to draw attention to himself, but I don't think people are going to care for very long.
He'll have lots of (other people's) money and titular leadership of the party, but he probably doesn't have the discipline to do that much with it. |

22. more of the insanity we have seen for 4 years,
as far as the Pentagon, and the military officers, I just imagine the shock of the abrupt removal of personnel. But on the other hand, after the announcement, they must just shake their heads and have to laugh it off. After all, I am sure they have each other's back as usual. More reorganization and clean up after Dump's loyalists are dispatched after Jan 20th.

25. His malice is exceeded only by his gross incompetence.
Outside of lower management positions, the negative consequences of his incompetence of the scale you imply will be... most satisfying to say the least.
Professional incompetence is admired only by those even less competent. Patience. President-elect Biden will take office. Worst case scenario-- Trump will be 'professionally encouraged' to leave, escorted off the premises by, and under the auspices of, the Secret Service. |

28. Troubling For Sure
But I believe I’ve heard that the Secret Service will gladly remove Chitolini if he refuses to leave.
The truth is that Orangeman knows he is not in serious legal jeopardy from New York the minute he’s out of Office. Going forward though we still have to deal with 30 or so percent of our citizens who are living in a different and largely false reality. |
