To not be so negative on Tweeter and Facebook. I'll vent here on DU. But will try to be civil as much as the other side let's me. I'll keep a civil tone till they can't keep one with me.

But when they take a swing at me, I will swing back. I will not be a welcome mat. I will use facts to back me.

It's the best I can do to help bring civility back to the nation. But the other side needs to step up too.

So in hopes that the other side is ready to have real conversation about issues, I'll refrain from my verbal weapons and talk. But if they don't want to be civil, I can get uncivil too.

7. I am only on Facebook and generally avoid political discussions there

Got into one with a fellow critical of mail in voting over the summer and suggested that we would simply have to agree to disagree. I see now that he is planning to be part of some Facebook exit on Friday the 13th. I guess he will end up on Parler or skip social media which is certainly his choice.
