Does a pardon apply to future crimes?

Because, you know that if Donald Trump is pardoned today, he will likely commit another crime tomorrow. It's in his blood. He is drawn to criminality.

Of course, no crimes have officially been defined at this moment, so what would be the need for any pardon?

The Constitution refers to “Offenses against the United States” and therefore I believe refers to established offenses. Anything in the future would imply immunity from prosecution IMO. I can’t conceive that being the intent of the Constitution’s authors.

Lots of what Trump is involved in is ongoing. I think you could make a case if he accesses dirty cash after the pardon.

Indictments and charges. The question boils down to trump self-pardon himself and others

committed while in office. So, no, he can't rob a bank the day after leaving and not be prosecuted. Nor does this cover state prosecution for crimes during his time in office.
