(19,192 posts)What a difference from the present occupier of the White House. Donald wouldn't want any of his family members to get face time in front of the cameras.

(1,322 posts)aside from his groping Ivanka, I seriously doubt they hug. They might mess up his hair, not to mention getting orange all over everything.

(8,709 posts)And Kamala? Welcome back American Democracy. Like hugging the love of your life that left you 4 years ago, now she is back after you fought like hell to win back that love. Like the end of so many romance movies when the couples get back together and tears fill your heart.

(10,828 posts)The Biden tribe sticks together in good times and bad. I'm guessing that's Hunter Biden giving Pop a bear hug.
So nice to see.

My heart has been singing all day long!!!
Ive had Jill as a teacher, sat with Joe through church services, and mourned with him over mutual friends. Im so glad he is the one who we chose to take on this fight. We could not have chosen a better person - or a better team. Joe and Kamala were my dream team even before he said hed run 🥂

(236 posts)The man has been through a lot and given a lot. I congratulate and thank him and his family. They deserve all the happiness they can get. However, at the same time I feel sad that I havent seen and hugged my son for over 7 months. It would require about an 80 mile drive - he and his wife are in the medical profession, and he thinks we can hardly be too careful in these times.
Sorry for putting me in this thread, but wanted to share one thing the picture does to me. I have so much more hope already though! Maybe soon we can get a lot more of a feeling, and some evidence, that we are all in this together. For sure we will at least have a president that sees leading us in that direction as his calling.

This photo of normal family interaction just made me cry. The jacket hanging on the banister in the background, the love of family shining through non-staged, a candid photo of messy ponytails, tee shirts and jeans, arms around a much beloved patriarch. This is everything!
