I think I see a pattern emerging.

1. Joe Scarborough comes out and says There was no great blue wave. In fact, Democratics didn't even win. Even though they still got control of the House they lost seats. They didn't do well in Senate they have only a net gain of 1. They didn't get control of the senate. The majority of Americans have repudiated thier agenda. Etc.... They have got to govern to our side not the liberal side.

2. Rick Santorum comes out and basically says the same thing. Democrats didn't have a big election. Etc... the American people don't want their socialist agenda. Etc...

3. Charlie Dent comes out says the American people chose a divided government they want checks and balances....

Do you see the pattern. They are trying to downplay our win. In will not let them this is a win.

Dont get me wrong if they want unity. I am for it like Joe said. But don't let them fool us into thinking this wasn't a win.

Respectfully, I don’t see a pattern. I have heard many media people express elation at Biden and Harris’ apparent win. What’s puzzling for me is the fact that PA hasn’t been called. Enough already.

They realize that if the sleeping bear fully wakes, they are dead. "Give up, stop thinking, don't fight our attempts at control. You're not ready for that yet, this was a fluke, don't count on it happening again. We know best."

Relieved of course, but that’s not the only emotion ...

On to Georgia ...

2018 was a blue tide rather than a blue tsunami. Democratic gains seemed disappointingly modest at first, but as more and more vote counts were finalized, the enormity of what had happened became apparent. I'm seeing the same pattern here. Biden is 4 million votes ahead of Trump in the popular vote, and California's final tally will probably add a couple of million votes to his lead.

Of course, it's much, much more difficult for the nation's blue-majority voters to take control of the Senate than the House, because House representation is proportional to population and Senate representation is not.

So yes, just as you say, it's now on to Georgia. Georgia, which has just turned blue for its first Presidential election in many a year. There's much cause for cheer.

So we can get Statehood for DC and Puerto Rico. I don't see how giving everyone a voice and a vote in a democracy can be a radical issue. But you know the repubs are going to frame it as such.

The worst thing we can do is to start thinking that incremental improvements are bad. In the real world, after you accomplish one thing there’s always going to be another hill to climb.

I think Trump scared the fuck out a lot of people with socialism, court packing, etc., so people thought well we'll depose of the orange anus and put in Republicans in the Senate to check Biden so AOC and Omar don't takeover the country.
