A little perspective, if I may.

I am not happy as I sit here. For a bit I was a little crazy about tonight. But then I started to think it through a little slower and with some rationality.

What we've lost at this point is the thrill of an early win.

Florida has yet to be called. Texas has yet to be called. Georgia has yet to be called. North Carolina is yet to be called. Ohio has not been called.

Nor has Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, or Pennsylvania.

And others.

They have yet to be called because, right now, they can go either way.

This is not over and it is not as bad as some of us are feeling it is. It is certainly not as GOOD as we were hoping. But it is not as bad as it feels.

3. it's beyond that - it is a realization of what a big chunk of our country values.

it is a much bigger issue than if we win or lose this election. THAT is what is depressing me - that a COVID murderer can even be close.

Trump inherited and destroyed our economy, and his tax cuts did nothing for 90% of Trump supporters.

This is not about issues. This is really about how divided we are. They are voting for him because he has the same hatreds they do.

It is shaping up that we'll need to do again what happened in 1945 in Europe - a start at Denazification.

I've gone from pure excitement to sick to my stomach to now a calm, measured feeling as I realize tons of states won't announce mail-ins/absentees until later.

We're just going to have to wait

6. Yes. Part of the shock was the big wins we want so Trumpism is gone.

Unfortunately, that didn't materialized. It didn't in 2016 either. I am still happy as long as Biden gets over that 270 EC votes.

Biden needs them all and could very well win them all.

to pick up don't go blue, it's disappointing, but remember that the campaigns almost always know where they can count on winning and losing. When they get scared over their must-have states, that's when you shit yourself and go fetal.

It might look grim with Trump seemingly closing late in ALL of the swing states.

But we have to count all the votes.

We can't buy into trump's narrative. The votes take time to count, and he's made sure some of them are taking longer than they should, but every vote must be counted. trump isn't the only one with attorneys: Biden has hundreds and they are busy working for all of us as we speak.

Deadlines for receiving mail-in ballots and continued counting of absentee/mail-in ballots stretch well into November for some states. The deadline for selecting electors isn't until December.

We'd all love to rush to knowing the count right now, but that is exactly what donnie wants too. Make him wait.

but I'm so desensitized into believing everyone just wants more money, that I didn't believe the emails.

But all along, I've kept myself mentally ready for a win or a loss, after what happened in 2016.

Go Joe!

(I'm just not understanding where all this Blue Tsunami stuff was coming from. How could it go from one extreme to the other? Very strange...I felt this way in 2016, too. And I still believe if we had honest elections with no tampering, etc we would indeed have blue tsunami after blue tsunami).

As a student from afar of the flawed US political system, I'm convinced that it's not over unless Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania go to Trump. I'm more worried about the Senate, as it'd mean that Biden is hobbled by a Republican led Senate out to block and obstruct at every turn and he'd be labelled a used-car salesman even though he has no control over the Senate....

I'm really really hoping this isn't as bad as what I feel it is right now. This US election will steer the way on climate change and influence the direction of satellite states like Australia and the UK for the next four years...
