38. While delightfully humorous

there's a few assumptions at the heart of this that might undercut it's reality.

There are good indications that Trump won't be prosecuted by the feds. Should he lose, he could use the ploy of resigning quickly to be pardoned by Pence. There's also Biden's embrace of the norms that have sustained peaceful transfer of power for two and a half centuries and one of those is the reluctance to prosecute former heads of state. Trump would most likely have to be prosecuted at state level.

Then there's his status as a great flight risk. His access to American state intelligence and secrets could be used as a bargaining chip for a nation to shelter him from extradition.

Lastly, there's the proposition that if he were locked up, Trump wouldn't make it 10 years in prison. I don't think his health would hold out.
