We need to pass laws to stop every kind of voter suppression. This is very important.

There should never be a reason to file suit to stop the counting of votes. There should be no means for anyone to stop the tabulation of votes.
We need 2 weeks of early voting. Holiday for national elections. We need same day registration. No undercover poll tax bologna. A set number of polling places to ensure there are NO 10 hour marathon lines to vote. Absolutely no one can be near a polling place to intimidate voters.

1. Yep

Preventing future voter suppression along with the prosecution of Trump need to be the highest priority for the Biden administration.

2. ..we also need to vote for the local officials who will enforce it

..we have a state mandated masking policy and local Sheriffs are bragging about not enforcing it.

9. This is so important. That sheriff's organization that has banded together to make sure

their "constitutional" power is unquestioned needs to be taken down a notch and there needs to be a law to stop that. It is a breeding ground for nazi behavior.

This is the USDSA ...the United States Deputy Sheriff's Association and the NAPO, National Association of Police Organizations. Very right wing nazi organizations, as far as I can tell.

7. AGREE!! But

It's a state thing. WE have to do this where ever possible for sure. EVERY Democratic state's NUMBER one thing should be for VOTING RIGHTS!!! Then work on the rethuglicon states too.

8. Part of the old Voter Rights Act included provisions for states

With known voter suppression history to get permission to make any changes. We know it was working because the clown court struck it down first chance they got and those voter suppressing KKK states promptly passed suppression laws anew.

10. That's #3 on the list of priorities

1. Eliminate filibuster
2. Unpack the court -- add at least 4 seats and appoint qualified jurists to them
3. Pass legislation to clean up voting: gerrymandering, suppression, purging, voting rights act & pre-clearance, automatic registration, voting holiday, etc.

If these three things are done, no republican will ever win an election again unless they abandon their anti-american platform.

11. Democrats need to take back state and local govts

And a federal minimum voting standard set with federal monies being withheld from ant state that chooses not to follow. The Feds can not RUN state voting practices.

12. I get that. We need a voting rights act that prohibits states from suppressing votes.

13. Not likely to happen, as it becomes a constitutional issue with states rights and

the limits of Federal Govt, this would have to be constitutional amendment thing and not happening.
