Are we better off then we were four years ago?

That's not going to change in the two months between now and Election Day, no matter how the economy does.
The US economy is down 4.7 million jobs since January 2017 when Trump took office, according to the Labor Department.
The August jobs report released Friday showed employers added back about 1.4 million jobs, bringing the unemployment rate to 8.4%. That is still well short of what would be needed to give Trump a positive jobs record by November 3.

(63,221 posts)growth ever in the history of the nation. Why doesn't anyone ever stop him or contradict him on the spot when he spouts this bullshit? I am sure there are plenty of low-information voters out there who take him at his word, even if they are unemployed or under-employed themselves.

(1,406 posts)etc. The jobs that were there weren't not mostly high-paying jobs or manufacturing jobs that made appliances, furniture, linens etc. like we used to do. China still whips our butts when it comes to making shit that low and middle income workers here want. We just don't make the stuff. Ask Trump where his MAGA hats were made.

He is telling us what condition he is going to leave the country in.
