I don't know many wives who think it's OK for their husband to tell them how to vote. Nope.

With most witness requirements now lifted, they can fill it out in the bathroom, seal it and put it in the mail later.

Abusive husbands control EVERYTHING. Mail, phones, money, cars, friends, - everything.

It's not worth the ensuing drunken beat down to many. And they don't know how to get out.

Just saying.

They are part of the election day equalization voting bloc the Repubs are counting on. Not all, of course, but Dems are overwhelming the ones voting by mail-in. (Not that all abusive men are Repubs; but that authoritarian personality does seem to be part and parcel of the current day Repub mindset, IMO.)

I was surprised at the number of women, usually older, who asked their husbands who they should vote for. I didn't think that happened any longer, but I guess women of a certain generation just were raised that way.

She was a very nice lady. She had a special needs daughter, and took good care of her. My partner tried to convince her otherwise, but she just did as ordered. Sadly, this woman was ordered by Paul of New Testament fame to be a good little wifey and do as hubby orders. Is it even necessary that I say that hubby was a Republican?
