Do we have an alternate site we can gather if DU is hacked?

There is no way I can make it through the election without DU. COVID has me under self-quarantine since March. That's bad enough. If I can't get info from the rest of you, I don't know what I'll do.

Can the Big Bosses let us know we're safe? We appreciate you!

As for how we survived last time — and it was about 2 weeks, iirc — DU has a Facebook page. Thank the gods.

There are several drawbacks to to posting on FB, however. One is you have to use your real name, not your DU screen name. The other is we were trolled every minute, & the trolls could use your name.

Nonetheless, I used it for news about DU, and to hold on to my community.

the info we need. It’s that we are also emotionally here for each other. Something we can’t get on a regular news site. Please, God, I want us to share in the evening for a glorious reason and NOT because we’re all talking each other out of slitting our wrists.

and it is a comfort to know you aren't alone. Also, that you have a chance to see that others agree with your off-the-wall ideas and concerns.

DU is therapy! I just hope we don't need it.

Many of us were severely traumatized, and DU is the place that many of us turn to when we're in crisis.

For many of us, the loss of our online home compounded the trauma. I'm sure it wasn't so bad for people who just use it for news.
