I thought @jacknicklaus might just be a racist golfer for backing Trump but now I realize he's both a racist & corrupt golfer

Trump's budget would steer $20M to Jack Nicklaus-backed hospital project
Nicklaus had lobbied Trump on the golf course in Florida, and he met with HHS Secretary Alex Azar and then-OMB Director Mick Mulvaney in Washington, D.C., to request funds.

"An HHS spokesperson did not address Nicklaus’ involvement but said the department "will initiate two competitively awarded pediatric disaster care pilot projects that aim to improve care during emergencies by addressing planning and response capabilities that support the specific needs of children." Nicklaus Children's Hospital did not respond to requests for comment."

"Nicklaus, a longtime proponent of children's health care, has argued that mobile hospitals should be specifically designed to serve children — for instance, by addressing their psychological needs after a disaster. Nicklaus has lobbied some lawmakers, such as Reps. Michael Burgess (R-Texas) and Gus Bilirakis (R-Fla.), about funding the mobile hospital pilot. Nicklaus Children's Hospital already provides some mobile services, including a mobile dental unit."

I'm not going to ignore that, despite their politics.

Nicklaus has always been a jackass while campaigning and commenting on politics, unlike Palmer. And Nicklaus has only gotten worse since Obama arrived in 2008.

He's not a particularly good at business. He lost everything in the late 70's/early 80's. As he has gotten older, he's managed to convince wealthy people to hire him for course design. He's just an ok designer (all his courses look alike in my opinion).

Make no mistake, Jack was a great golfer...beyond great really.

All he could see was a controlled fade, so all of his designs place absurd premium on that shot, including when he was allowed to design the totally new 5th hole at Pebble Beach in the late '90s. The prior hole was inland and awful with a huge overhanging tree and no semblance of Pebble Beach. But the new one should have been better than it is, given the spectacular setting along the coastline
