10/29 Daily Dose of Joe
Friends -- see below for today's Dose of Joe.
• Yesterday, Joe Biden received a briefing from public health experts on data that indicates a coming surge in infections, what actions would be needed to turn this around, and the importance of wearing a mask. You can watch his full remarks HERE. • Joe Biden will travel to Florida to discuss bringing Americans together to address the crises facing the country and winning the battle for the soul of the nation. In the afternoon, Vice President Biden will deliver remarks at a drive-in event in Broward County to encourage Floridians to vote. In the evening, Vice President Biden will deliver remarks at a drive-in event in Tampa to encourage Floridians to vote. You can watch all events HERE. • Jill Biden will join members of UNITE HERE Florida, the hospitality workers' union, to deliver remarks on Joe Biden’s plan to fight for working families and build back better an economy devastated by Donald Trump’s mismanagement of the COVID-19 pandemic response. • Jill Biden will travel to Lansing and Westland, Michigan to energize supporters at volunteer canvass launches and encourage Michiganders to vote now. With only five days until November 3, Biden will discuss what is at stake in this election and emphasize the critical role that Michiganders will play in deciding the next president. • Doug Emhoff will travel to Columbus and Akron where he will encourage Ohioans to make their voices heard by casting their ballots for the Biden-Harris ticket. First, he will kick off an early vote rally in Columbus. Melanie is a 90 second spot that tells the story of a wildland firefighter in Arizona, and Oval suggests the best way to quiet Trump’s noise. These are the first two campaign-sponsored ads focused exclusively on climate ever to air nationally in a general election and will run on MSNBC and Comedy Central respectively. • Yesterday, the Association of Flight Attendants Union and the Association of Professional Flight Attendants announced their endorsements of Joe Biden for President. In their endorsement, they cited their work with Vice President Biden in 2014 in keeping passengers safe, stopping the spread of communicable diseases on transportation, and commended his track record of standing with union members. JOE’S SOCIAL MEDIA TO AMPLIFY @JoeBiden: I believe in science. Donald Trump doesn't. 2. Very excited to vote for change!
I'll be voting for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. I'll be voting for them this country is so divided. A few old men are deciding what women can and can’t do with their own bodies, which is ridiculous and wrong. Trump believes racism is a non-issue. He lies. He ignores science. Far too many people have died. He refuses to address the climate crisis. He disgraces this country on a daily basis. I really believe my vote for Biden-Harris is a vote for equality, choice, civility and love.
