NBC News Election Update: Biden 279, Toss Up 134, Trump 125

NBC's electoral vote update it out for today. The major changes is that Arizona moved from a lean Biden to a tossup and Texas moved from lean Trump to tossup. I'm ok with that trade I think.

But anyways that puts the updated electoral vote at

Biden: 279 solid or lean states

Tossup: 134

Trump: 125 solid or lean states

I think it goes without saying that things are looking very promising 7 days before the election

3. Hah! The "toss up" electoral votes are bigger than the reasonably-safe Trump votes...

...with Biden already breaking 270 with reasonably-safe blue states.

If turnout favors Dems like I think it will (and it's too badly canceled out by Republican rat-fucking), this will be the landslide we've been dreaming of.

5. Yes, I'm a bit hard of hearing... but even with louder volume, Chuck Todd sounds like he's mumbling.

Yes, I'm a bit hard of hearing… but even with louder volume, Chuck Todd sounds like he's mumbling. I can barely understand half of what he's saying.

Is it me? Is he just a fast talker? Or is it that he doesn't enunciate his words very well... or that he slurs words together and drops consonants?

This video clip was VERY difficult to listen to or understand.

(Getting old sucks!)

7. He has a weird cadence

And he drops the volume periodically and sometimes he slurs. Mix all that together and it does become challenging to hear what he’s saying.

(One of my ears isn’t working well right now, but I could still pick up on what he was saying. He just sped up, slowed down, enunciated half-assed and slurred a few. So I do get it- it was a hard piece to listen to!)

Joe had at least 300 votes.

10. The Trumpers will point to ALL THOSE SQUARE MILES they won.

The vast and sparsely populated states... but LOTS and LOTS of acres. They're very visual and for some reason they think that BIG states means a large population.

13. AZ isn't a tossup. Kelly is going to beat McSally badly & Trump is going down as well as a result.

17. 270 to win has Biden at 290

That includes Arizona's 11 electoral votes.

Whether 279 or 290, both numbers are above 270, and all Biden needs to do to go over the 300 mark is to win a one or two of the toss-up states.

But I'm taking nothing for granted. Onward and upward!
