Drunk dude bulldozes Biden/Harris signs-Neighborhood reacts & plants a zillion signs in their yards

?width=640

?s=20

..........

Cornelius Marion took this picture of James Blight driving away from his neighbor's home where he tore down a chain-link fence with a stolen front-end loader and removed Joe Biden campaign signs in Haines City.

When the driver got to Adam Burgess’s house at 501 N. Third St., he stopped and pulled up some signs supporting Democrat Joe Biden’s presidential candidacy, then got back on the front-end loader and tore through the chain-link fence and gate, Marion said.

..........

Police have determined that the $40,000 front-end loader was stolen from a construction site at West Main Street and U.S. 27, reports state.

Officers caught up with Blight, whose address on the affidavit is “at large,” at Hinson Avenue and South Third Street and arrested him on three felonies — trespass, criminal mischief and grand theft. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.

..................

“When people found out what was going on, they got a lot more signs,” Marion said. “They are making an even bolder statement — letting him know they have their rights to vote for whom they choose.”

Drunk dude bulldozes Biden/Harris signs in neighborhood. Neighborhood reacts by planting a zillion signs in their yards.

except to say, they aren't becoming angry and frightened. they have been angry and frightened since well before trump entered the picture. people that follow a personality like trump are scared of things they don't understand, which includes people different from them. trump and the republican party didn't create this fear, ignorance creates it. but trump and the republicans capitalize on this fear and exploit it. then this fear turns into anger.

i did some time in construction a long time ago, but a machine like that back in the 80's started at $150k.

i paid $4k for a 30 yr rusty, chugging, old bobcat a few yrs ago. that thing looks like it's in good condition.
i dont rly have much more current experience, tho.

It's a loader, there's a scoop rather than a blade and it has wheels. I think he stole it from reports a couple days ago.

Been seeing that "bulldozer" headline since it happened, but haven't read the stories until now. I kept picturing that maniac in Colorado: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvin_Heemeyer

A bulldozer would be a lot harder to stop than that backhoe.

Surprised to have to scroll so far down to find a comment correcting the reports.

But I know a back hoe when I see one but I didn't see that part so I went with the part I could see knowing there was probably more to it. I backhoe is worth some bucks and stealing one is like cattle rustlin' offense, so I can see some trouble ahead for that guy.

I saw of it. It is, indeed a backhoe, and it's big trouble to steal one. And dozers usually have tracks.

I found her at the Phoenix Peterbilt facility, fell in love with her, negotiated a price, and named her Lucille, and haven't looked back since.

to stay around for, so I sold the house, bought a 5th wheel, and parked it in AZ, then bought the Pete and found an excellent agent, and the rest is history.

For me, being on the open road is perfect, me and my chihuahua get paid to see the country and I love the nomadic lifestyle and I'm my own boss.
I do have an accountant that takes care of all the legal shit that goes with owning your own company.

Let me ask you this, did you ever read the DOT reg. book?
Just how the hell is someone supposed to read the book and understand and remember all the regs?

But I also had a cheat sheet so I knew the parts that would be on the test and back then, the test wasn't hard and it was open book. You have to be able to read to get through that so I guess that's how they figured you could read. I started in 1976 and retired in the early 90s. Things have changed so much that I would have to read up on updated regs. and all before I could pass any licensing test, and I used to be a licensed instructor at one brief point. But I can still back one of those up with 2" clearance for the mirrors on either side! Like riding a bicycle, you never forget.

and I mostly hauled equipment on low boy trailers, so when I took my CDL drive test, it was a piece of cake with the backing, blind alley dock, weaving in between cones, etc,. I passed the test with flying colors.

In 1976 I was still in the Marines, so you started waaaaaaaaaaaay before me and I would imagine that the trucking industry was a whole different ball game compared to today.

Anyways, a real pleasure talking to but I gotta bounce for awhile.

Have a great evening.

At one stroke, you have strengthened the entire neighbourhood's resolve, cost yourself a bunch of money and ruined your life for years and years to come, and maybe forever. If there is any justice, you will be in a horrible place for several years, and will face hostility and suspicion when you are finally released, and find employment MUCH harder to find.

I note they haven't charged you with DUI, so it might yet get a little worse. And, as a final, delicious bit of irony, you won't be able to vote, either.

Do you think this will get fence-sitters to vote for a candidate with this kind of display of support, let alone change anyone's mind? And, as a final, delicious bit of irony, you won't be able to vote, either.

As I said...f'ing imbecile.
