Fmr Fed Prosecutor answers: Can Dump be tried for the COVID deaths he has caused?
Question from Meg #BidenHarris2020 (@mmmMeggie)
Q: I know you cannot answer everyone's questions yet could some attorney tell me is it possible to prosecute trump for all the death he has caused? COVID19 or the families separated from their babies ripped from being breast fed? Answer from Glenn Kirschner (@glennkirschner2) - MSNBC Legal Analyst, Former 30-year federal prosecutor A: Yes, my friend. As a former career homicide prosecutor I can tell you that Trump’s conduct fulfills all 3 legal elements of manslaughter. Evidence MUST be presented to a grand jury beginning in Jan. Indictments are sure to follow. For those lost & their families, #JusticeMatters 12:55 PM · Oct 26, 2020

6. +1 Kirschner is part of a citizens' project to clean up McConnell's judiciary.
He'd be good for prosecuting these assholes too.

2. If That's True, Better Question Is WILL He Be Tried?
I sincerely doubt there's the slightest chance he'll be held accountable for a single death.

26. Unfortunately, I share your skepticism.
But, damnit, I we still need to demand it. We need to make a lot of noise for the record.

7. not all ...
He should be fitted with a shock collar. Every time someone gets COVID-19, trumPutin gets a shock; double for each death. Retroactive, too, of course.

Tell me how different he is from Milosevic, Pol Pot or other genocidists.

Screw his self-pardon or any attempt at pardon from Pence. No part of the Executive branch should be allowed to pardon itself. We need to close that loophole as well while we're at it.

13. isn't a civil lawsuit the way to go ?
At what seems like conservative figures, 200,000 thousand deaths x one million dollars per case = 200 billion dollars.
Lets see just how far his fortune goes toward compensating families of his victims. |

Criminal convictions make civil suits slam dunks.

17. Since it seems Trump is in the red, civil lawsuits might never pay off
Of course, if they win they can attach future earnings so he and his family could never dig their way out of their current hole. There is a nice thought!

14. trump coordinates with limbaug, who led the effort too call it a hoax and then downplay
it's severity and danger. media needs to assume that was the plan from the start. even if trump pretended to fight it in his own insipid and incompetent way limbaugh/talk radio continued with the same plan and would not have without trump/white house guidance.
all those blowhards and radio stations who shouted HOAX in the covid theater need to go to jail. in 2014 republicans won 9 senate seats by hyping ebola scares in oct - then it all ended after the election. they learned - pandemics bring out the frightened authoritarian vote and americans have to assume someone convinced idiot trump that COVID could do the same for him. we have to assume he's purposefully spreading it with his rallies. as cases skyrocket and pressure builds to close things down and if he's got a plan to stay in office he will use the national emergency to facilitate it |

15. Yes! What Trump has done is deliberate negligent homicide.
The sad part is that he would have been deemed a hero if he took decisive action and actually lead the country through the pandemic instead of pretending it was "fake news", and continually downplaying the seriousness of the situation.
For him it was always something that was messing up his economic numbers; causing the stock market to fall, raising the unemployment rate. The toll in human lives and suffering never entered into it for him. And it still doesn't to this day. Most of the deaths we have endured could have been prevented if he had simply told people the truth about Covid-19...a truth he always knew. Lock him up! |

19. Regardless of everything that he's done before, if Trump had taken this seriously
and embraced masks, lockdowns and so forth, he could have engineered an easy re-election. He could have been upfront about the need to take an economic hit in order to protect lives, and people would have understood.
Instead, his reaction has proved beyond a doubt that despite his all-consuming desperation to stay in the White House, his malignancy is so deeply rooted that it impossible for him to act decently even for nakedly political reasons. |

18. tRUMP will never see the inside of a jail UNLESS it's to visit his kids.
He will pardon himself or Pence will. They will pardon all the kids (and Hope Hicks), if one of the States does get him and he's convicted and sentenced it will be to "house arrest"....His legal residence? Mar-A-Lago...some house arrest!
