(4,845 posts)But as soon as it happened, I knew the republicans will break every rules and everything they said in 2016. Just go ahead and unpack the court when we get a trifecta. You would get no backlash from this moderate. Matter of fact, you will get backlash from me if you don't. I am sure there has quite a lot of people in a similar situation as me.

(8,029 posts)White House and Senate. They need to make a whole new rule to get rid of last-minute, unvetted justices in the middle of an election.
On second thought, they just need to get rid of really weird, extremely strange people appointed by republicans, no matter what position they were put in. That should rid us of some of the other attorneys approved by the republicans.

Still as much as I hate it we are stuck with her. However we can dilute her effect by expanding the court.

(8,029 posts)She's already lied in her senate hearing about "not knowing about" the school rejecting lgbtq students. There was something else it was shown she lied about too, but I can't remember right now.

(15,381 posts)Mitch can change Senate rules, but the Constitution is clear in regards to remove a sitting Justice. It's written in there that it takes 2/3rds of the Senate, so that's 67 votes.

(8,029 posts)There has to be a remedy. They sure aren't putting her in there with 2/3 of the vote.

(19,264 posts)I would have thought Trump's impeachment would have proven once and for all how absolutely political impeachment is as a tool. It doesn't matter about right or wrong all that matters is votes.
