...replaced them with four stories about 'conservative' pundits (Huckabee, Fleischer, Rove, Kaplan) opining that Trump shouldn't harp on it during the debate.
Take it for what it's worth. But I think it's a signal that the Hunter Biden 'scandal' is about to implode. Possibly because it's about to get splashed by Rudy Giuliani spooge (Borat, the wrong type of laptop); or possibly for some more serious reason.

(5,954 posts)(Fox News) be in public? The Republican Party 'brain trust' (such that it is) is Fox News. In the old days, Bush Jr.'s people and Fox's people used to talk on the phone. Now we have The Donald, who thinks it's a sign of weakness to take advice from anybody, but 'secretly' gets his advice by watching Fox News all day. So, Fox News has turned into a full time kite-flying operation. Sailing all these talking point kites in Trump's direction, and hoping he'll pick them up. Meanwhile, they're all out there for us to decode.
Loads of fun!

(2,331 posts)Hunter Biden who lives in California dropped of a laptop with all his text message and emails to a small computer repair shop in Delaware owned by a blind guy and never asked to pick it up. The blind guy gave it to the FBI who did nothing and made a copy he gave to Rudy.
I rate this a step above JFK jr is going to rise from the dead and become Trump's running mate. Not much above.

(5,954 posts)We know that the Russians hacked the Burisma email server. They probably handed the emails over to Andrii Derkach, and said 'here. Three of these emails are accurate, and can be verified by some of the people on the email chain. Mix them up with 100 emails that are fake, and then (as usual) claim they're ALL real. Now all you have to do is figure out some way to leak them to the press."
Derkach made the mistake of giving them to Giuliani, who thought he had a brilliant scheme for getting them to the press. (Brilliant to anyone whose as crazy as a crack-house rat.)

(2,331 posts)They don't have that as a delivery mechanism this election cycle.
They also pretty much did the same thing in France when Marcon was running for re-election. American press and intelligence agencies were aware of the tactic.
