That it was caught early. Stage 1, 3 rounds of chemo and a very optimistic prognosis from her oncologist.

with a 5 year survival rate over 90% (some stats say over 85%)

My cousin's wife was diagnosed with it several years ago and the doctor called it "good news" when he confirm it was Hodgkin's. She's doing great.

The Dude has a good chance of living a long and healthy life even with lymphoma. The big, aggressive ones are curable, and the slow-growing ones aren’t curable but are very treatable. My husband has lived with a slow-growing lymphoma for fifteen years and is healthy, rarely needing treatment.

then Jeff Bridges...I've loved him in everything I've seen him with starting with, The Last Picture Show. And more recently he was soooo good in a movie that was kind of an indie but IMHO was excellent, Hell or High Water.

But to me (and probably many, many others) - He will always be The Dude......

I hope he gets through this okay.
