(51 posts)Democrats routinely get 40%+ of the vote in those states, due to the black population. Its not like Idaho or Oklahoma or something, where Democrats are lucky to get 30% of the vote.
The problem in the Deep South is getting to about 45% of the vote, with whites voting in such unison.

(6,369 posts)Harrison will get closer than Biden, but he's still a clear underdog.
Statistical
(19,264 posts)If Biden ends up anywhere close in SC it means he has likely swept NC, GA, and FL.
SC is one of those states like TX or AK. If Biden were to win SC it doesn't matter because it would be going from 400 EV to 409 EV. In any race that SC matters Biden wouldn't win SC. It is about 10 points more conservative than the national average.
Harrison is more conservative than Biden but if he wins it will be barely and as a longshot and almost certainly Biden will still end up losing the state.

(6,334 posts)..it is wishful thinking.
If we get close, not good for Trump.
If we get no call after polls close and told it may take a long time....Trump is in serious trouble.
If it gets called for Biden a few hours after the poll's close. It's over.
