I think Trump will surprise some people tonight.

I’ve watched a couple of fairly recent interviews and he was vastly different than we normally see. If he acted this way at all in 2020 things could be a lot different, aside from the complete clustertrump failure.

With Mark Levin in September he was reserved and seemed comfortable.
On Tucker he had a virtual office visit with the same Doctor, Siegel, he did the Man Woman Person Camera TV thing. He was again, well, sort of human. He talked like it was a normal conversation. There was no bombast or name calling.

He knows what this chance means. It’s not what the cult is looking for but I think he knows that that isn’t his audience tonight.

These questioners are going to ask specific policy questions. The "moderator" needs to keep him on the subject of the question by asking follow-ups.

Also, last I heard, he was still calling it a debate and planning to act like it was one (he is not a smart man) so does anyone want to pick an over/under on how soon before he starts bragging about how Joe didn't even want to show up to the debate?

tonight like they did on CNN.
He interrupted women while they were speaking.
His answers were all about himself, not them.
He didn't even try to pretend to answer citizen's questions.
Then there were the lies and bullshit too.
Tonight there is a woman moderator so any question from her is seen as an attack by him, even if it's "how are you feeling?"
I think that tonight, if there ever was a shot at it, a meltdown moment could occur.
There will at least be a repeat of the CNN level, if not worse.
He is incapable of changing, especially on steroids like I think he still is on.
Chance of meltdown....39%

people to be there to ask him softball questions. I would not put it past them. He is so immersed in his grievances, that he has no plans. Not that he had any in the first place. I have not heard him say anything that makes any sense that speaks to what is going on right now that speaks to the concerns of every day Americans. Nobody but your fans cares about Hunter Biden, even if you could prove whatever you claim. Nobody cares. People want to know who is going to help them get out of the mess we are in now. Clearly you have no answers when you spend the bulk of your time talking about yourself.

as soon as someone challenges his authority by asking him a question which he perceives as criticism, he'll lose his shit. He thinks he won the first debate by berating the moderator, and he'll be on NBC, which he thinks of as the enemy to be vanquished.

I don't think he's going to start yelling at people though. He tends to default to that sort of persecuted, "I don't really care do u?" attitude when challenged in a setting where he's not comfortable. Like the infamous, "it is what it is" during the Axios interview, and the last town hall he did where he was widely perceived as having a dismissive attitude towards the questioners.

I suspect that the takeaway from tonight will be that, once again, when you give him questions from real people, he just seems weird, rude, and out of touch. No doubt at least one clanger will be dropped that people will be talking about tomorrow.

The ratings numbers are what will change minds. No one wants to be on the losing team. Republicans who want to exist going forward will reject this loser in droves.

Never fall for his bullshit. He is a fucking idiot, but if there is one thing he is good at it is manipulating crowds.

Trump behaved exactly as he always has. Like an ass clown and imbecile. Why in the world would you think it’d be different? This surprises me coming from you, but it does illustrate that when it comes to Trump, people have a tremendous capacity to fool themselves. It’s strange. And I don’t mean the sound mean, but I’m disappointed in you. Then again, everybody gets one wrong occasionally. No harm. No foul.
