Amy Coney Barrett on originalism: "That means that I interpret the Constitution as a law... I understand it to have the meaning that it had at the time people ratified it. That meaning doesn't change over time and it's not up to me to update it or infuse my policy views into it."
As a originalist how has she explained being a judge? The Constitution doesn't refer to women as jurist or voters for that matter. That whole "all men are created equal" line.

you could not be a judge when that was written
you could not own property when that was written
you could not vote when that was written

(53,475 posts)4. What lazy, inflexible bullshit. We'd still have enslavement,...
no LGBTQ right, no women voting rights, or women Supreme Court justices for that matter, if originalists had their way.
God, why would a woman call herself an originalist?
Oh, wait. She clerked for Scalia so of course she does what her and other women in her charismatic Catholic faith do (People of Praise), what men tell them to do.

(3,147 posts)8. Yeah she admits to owning a gun.
Pretty sure there was only musket and flintlock pistols. Of course she doesn't own one of those for her home protection.
