Yesterday, Joe Biden traveled to Ohio to talk about the economic pain working families across the state have felt as a result of President Trumps broken promises to workers from the closure of GMs Lordstown plant to Trumps threats to thousands of Ohio jobs by calling for a Goodyear boycott and discussed his Build Back Better plan that will create millions of good-paying manufacturing jobs and revitalize the American auto industry. Joe Biden will travel to Broward County, Florida today. In the afternoon, Vice President Biden will deliver remarks in Pembroke Pines on his vision for older Americans. You can watch HERE. After, Vice President Biden will attend an event in Miramar to encourage Floridians to make a plan to vote early.
Doug Emhoff will travel to Virginia where he will visit Charlottesville in the morning to launch a lit drop and voter registration drive with Fifth District candidate Dr. Cameron Webb and UVA Students for Biden. In the afternoon, Emhoff will attend a registration drive and yard sign pick up event in Loudoun County with Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (VA-10), State Senator John Bell (Loudoun County), and other elected Virginia leaders. Later in the day, Emhoff will travel to Fairfax for a lit drop launch with Congressman Gerry Connolly (VA-11), Delegate Kathy Tran (Fairfax County), GMU Students for Biden, and Fairfax Democrats.
Today, Biden for President will host a Military Service Celebration with Veterans and Military Families for Biden. Featuring Ray Mabus and Norman Lear, the celebration will recognize all military services on the 245th birthday of the U.S. Navy on October 13th, honoring our traditions and our commitment to service. The event will also provide opportunities for veterans and military families to learn more about the Biden-Harris agenda, and get involved with the campaign. RSVP HERE.
This past week, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris earned endorsements from 19 newspapers across 14 states. The endorsements highlight Joe Bidens leadership, experience, and empathy as the qualities America needs in a president. Citing the COVID-19 pandemic, the economic crisis, and racial inequality in this country, the editorial boards also wrote that only Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are equipped to handle this triple threat of crises and build our country back better.
