When reached for comment, a spokesperson for the DeVos family said they no longer own the yacht.

“We’re unaware of any review,” said the representative. “However, if there is an analysis, we’re confident that it will simply confirm all appropriate Michigan taxes have been paid.”

The matter has been referred to Michigan's Tax Enforcement unit for review, according to Lance R. Wilkinson, Director Bureau of Tax Policy.

1. Tax cheats!

This is common among the one-per-centers. Lock them up!

3. "They no longer own the yacht"

Why would I not be surprised to find that the yacht is "owned" by a shell corporation that they happen to be in control of.

4. Don't want those AMWAY billions to go to waste now with having to pay taxes.

Glad I no longer support this grifter family.

Rich DeVos was NOTHING like his son Dick has become.

5. Tax and regulatory compliance avoidance.

It's legal. But then again, people like them wrote the laws.

6. Betsy DeVos and brother Erik Prince must be stopped!

They hate America being Free & Brave. Just as Trump does. They lie, cheat and steal. Just like Trump does. But they actually have the power and money to damage The American Dream if they and their ilk are not stopped in their tracks.

8. Most large yachts and ships are registered in countries they have never been to.

Panama
Caymans
Liberia
etc

9. There should be a requirement that property of that type must be in the country registered...

at least once every six months to be exempt from U.S. taxes.

Shell companies need to be "blown up" so they can't hide from scrutiny.
