I know our governor passed that rule so certainly, hopefully, the university administration decides to let us pack The Swamp
Hundred percent, because that crowd was a major factor in the game, and so, I certainly hope our university administration follows the governor.
Our governor has passed a rule that were allowed to pack the Swamp. We have 90,000 in The Swamp to give us that home-field advantage that Texas A&M had today.
Fuck YOU and your stupid ass Governor.

(71,031 posts)And the ESPN anchor made a side comment of "Enter at your own risk.". There's was a tone to it that made it obviously derisive.
The anchor made a subtle political comment about how dumb that was despite the rule of anchors not making political comments.
Was glad to hear it!

(14,565 posts)Not surprised at all by Mullen's comments. The Canes interviewed him for the head coaching job many years ago. Everyone in the room said they were shocked at how arrogant Mullen was, with one demand after another, as if he were an ultra elite coach.
I've been impressed that the Florida programs so far have ignored DeSantis' insanity. The Dolphins said they will remain at 13,000 maximum and Florida administration quickly dismissed Mullen's rant.

We'll never be rid of covid with these fools pushing huge crowds, as if we're not in a pandemic.

That's why few of them do well in the pros. You can't talk to a grown man the way you talk to a teenager.

It's a big reason I don't like college football. Too "coachy". They matter way too much compared to the guys actually playing the game.

(5,744 posts)The talent in the pros is too good to get cute with your coaching. My biggest issue with college is how they use these athletes to make billions of dollars and the athletes, the talent, really takes on all the risk for essentially nothing in return. I get that they can get a college education and that's great. But they are taking on injuries that will plague them the rest of thei life for essentially nothing.

(71,031 posts)Make fifty million each year, give 120 guys a scholarship with an actual cost of a couple hundred thousand. (Much of the costs are sunk. Whether the players are there or not, the incremental cost is not equal to the tuition.)
I don't like it either.

(17,111 posts)The crowd did not screw up the game. The players did under your direction. You need to resign if this is your plan to improve your teams performance.
