Unique Biden/Harris sign destroyed by fire - the hate is palpable
24 hours after it was installed, this happened:
![]() From this Reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/j8bq2d/friend_built_this_bidenharris_billboard_on_her/ And here is a news article about it: A novel endorsement of the Biden/Harris presidential ticket went up in flames Friday night in Dalton, halting traffic on Route 9 and prompting an investigation into whether the fire was deliberately set. A little after 6:30 p.m., a stack of 19 oversized and wrapped hay bales bearing the Democratic Party candidates’ names caught fire, sending smoke across the busy state road near Holiday Brook Farm. Dicken Crane, the farm’s owner, said Dalton police and fire officials were at the farm Friday night, investigating. https://www.berkshireeagle.com/cause-of-blaze-that-destroyed-biden-harris-hay-bales-probed-in-dalton/article_5fc1b558-0a93-11eb-8484-83ac21f4a096.html

1. That is about $2000 worth of arson.
That's not a petty mischief crime by a long shot.

Small point, but there it is.

26. Not Firm Ground To Stand On, Ma'am
Much too early in the morning to refresh recollection, but the ovens often were used for infants and prisoners who from resistance groups, or just chosen for ire or fun by the guards. This is without getting into numerous instances of the Jews in a town being herded into buildings which were then set afire. Most of the killing was of that point-blank retail sort, rather than the wholesale industrial processes eventually put in place.

37. This Is Past The Point Of Any Gain, Ma'am
I have much to do today, and prefer to keep a clear mind. I am quite familiar with the history we are discussing. Your tourist jaunts endow you with no especial knowledge of the course of the extermination project, nor much fine-grained detail of practices throughout occupied territory in both the east and the west. Despite descent into more than my accustomed waspishness, I assure you I feel no animosity towards you.
Be well, and stay safe. |

39. You know nothing of me, dear.
The Germans were not the only ones to burn people inside dwellings...surely you’re aware?
Heard of the allies with Dresden, ourselves in My Lai? Boudicca in London (among other towns)? Hmm? I could go on, but I feel certain that with your vast knowledge of all things, you know how many cultures indulged in this sort of thing. I’m quite “familiar” with the history too. But I accept your retreat with good humor. Have a lovely day now, y’hear? |

10. Oil was found, hay inside was cool to the touch
https://www.berkshireeagle.com/cause-of-blaze-that-destroyed-biden-harris-hay-bales-probed-in-dalton/article_5fc1b558-0a93-11eb-8484-83ac21f4a096.html
Crane said that just minutes before, at 6:32 p.m., a farm employee noticed that a substance that resembled motor oil had been spread across a portion of the bales. ... Once the fire was extinguished, Crane inspected the debris and found that hay still inside the bales was cool to the touch. “It was not spontaneous combustion,” he said, a reference to fires that start naturally, including in silage. It’s October, not May. |

Arson investigators will find the residues.

they checked the hay inside and it was cool to the touch, eliminating the possibility of spontaneous combustion. Also there was a smell of motor oil.

33. Most farmers know this, which is why I would stagger bales in the loft with 4-6" gaps between them.
.
We'd get an order of several hundred bales, mostly timothy and a some alfalfa if it was nearing wintertime. While it would cram the upper loft of the one barn, we'd also use one of the enclosed stalls to store them. The larger rolled hay wold not go into or near the buildings. Those who wrap the bales know to let them field dry. . |

According to the article he had bought that hay to supplement the hay he produces on his
farm for $75.00 per bale. This act will not stop what is going to happen in the election it will just make for more Biden voters. |

For all we know there might even be some Proud Boys or Oath Keepers around there. The rightwing weirdos are everywhere, and we should always be vigilant. This is wanton destruction, and it needs to be labelled as "rightwing violence."
It's fortunate that the owners weren't injured, and apparently there's no permanent damage to their property, thanks to the quick action by the local fire department. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
