Election live updates: Trump says he won’t participate in virtual debate shortly after format is announced

President Trump said during a television interview that he
would not participate in a virtual debate with Democratic nominee Joe Biden, dismissing an announcement less than an hour earlier by the Commission on Presidential Debates about the format change.

The commission said the second presidential debate would be a “virtual town hall” to protect the health of all involved. On Friday, the White House revealed that Trump had tested positive for the coronavirus.

The election is solidly in Biden's favor and these last two debates are pretty much Trump's only chances to turn things around. Eliminating one of them is brutal for him in terms of gaining momentum.

can we just shit-can the last two debates? Let's not give Trump any more oxygen/attention.

After all, America has had enough of a petulant juvenile delinquent spewing his verbal diarrhea and toxic vile on the United States of America.

knuckle under, tuck his tail between his legs, and slink up there in front of the camera. He won't surrender an opportunity to put his face on display.

He has no choice. He is in a deep, dark hole and has to at least try to climb out.
