private rooms, small army of doctors, experimental drugs, etc, etc.
trump seems to think that everyone can get what he did.
Of course, the citizens paid for his treatment.

(12,264 posts)if he signed himself out against medical advice your insurance will not pay for anything. So rich Donnie needs to pony up the cash because WE are his insurance and I refuse to pay.

(53,061 posts)Just got the bill for $ 9000 (paid for by Medicare).
In Trump's case it would be hundreds of thousands but in all fairness you have to subtract the hundreds of thousands that would have been spent at the golf course if he weren't at Walter Reed.
The US taxpayer may have saved some money.

(13,458 posts)Of course one of the things that drive up the cost is the medical personnel and equipment aboard. I assume in his little hop over to Reed he didn't need paramedics. Also it's hard to compare costs of a civilian helicopter to a military one. Marine 1 is a much larger bird (that burns more fuel) than the typical air ambulance. AND they fly two of them, probably for security reasons.
