Trump and his family are trying to prevent pence from replacing trump,

If he gets incapacitated, and will try to prevent truthful updates on his declining health. Trump and the family hate him, and don't trust him. Trump is losing control and getting worse, so he'll try promoting ivankie ahead of pence. It'll fail but it will fail.

5. It would be very interesting to see Trump attempt to replace Pence as VP with another person.

It would require the Senate to change focus on confirming the new Supreme Court justice and keep Moscow Mitch busy.

11. Trump can't replace Pence. The Constitution is clear on that.

Trump can appoint a new VP if there is a vacancy. There is only a vacancy is Pence dies, resigns, or is impeached and convicted by Congress.

If there is a vacancy and he appoints a new VP it would need to be confirmed by both houses.

an Acting President Pence not only would likely bar Jared and Ivanka from bursting into the Oval Office without permission, but they'll be put on furlough as Pence will choose his own advisors.

receiving more attention than him, as a threat.

So many of his "friends" have become his enemies as they began to ascend, or were perceived to be smarter.

You could see that at Tuesday's debate: If I can't win this debate, I'm going to make it so nobody wins it, I'll just destroy the whole thing.

Now matter how hard Ivnka and Jr. try. Congress will not allow it. The Presidency is not something passed down to heirs.

The VP resigns.
The VP dies in office.
The VP is impeached.

Even if you remove the VP any new VP needs to be confirmed by both houses.

Ivanka Trump will never be VP. Pence will never resign and even if he did she could never be confirmed. If there was a vacancy in the Vice Presidency and the President died Pelosi would become President.

So it doesn't really matter what the Trump spawn want. Their choices are Pence or Pelosi.

In fact, Pence is the VP, and the only ways he can be removed from that office are through resignation or impeachment and removal by Congress.

Trump has no authority to do such a thing. No authority at all. Pence was elected.

Secretary of State Haig almost immediately got in front of a camera to declare he was in charge, ignoring the legal chain of command. Power vacuums lead to power grabs. I don't think Jarvanka and Don Jr. will do anything as blatant: they'll act more like Edith Wilson after Woodrow's stroke: carefully control access to the president so as not to disturb his rest.

I think they're afraid that once Pence has the power the 25th amendment gives him he won't give it up - they wouldn't give it up if they were in his position.
