He was asked 3 times.

Each time he started out by declaring he is not currently on oxygen.

The closest he got (on the third try) was that he was not on oxygen at Walter Reed after they settled him in, had not been on oxygen today, and was not on oxygen while some kind of evaluation was going on (it wasn't clear to me whether that was at the White House or Walter Reed) - but it clearly left a time period during which oxygen was used - since you don't deny a simple question that specifically unless you are hiding something.
