A lot of anger will be directed in coming days to senior West Wing staffers, chiefly Meadows, Scavino, McEntee and--this is the one that gets me--Dr. Atlas.

They sent message to junior staffers that masks & social distancing were essentially barriers to advancement on Team Trump

7. Meadows was wearing a scarce 3M N95 mask as he got in the chopper with Trump to Waltrr Reed.

Even nurses and doctors can't get their hands on those 3M N95 masks when they want one.

But Trump's chief of staff has scored one, now that he has turned the White House into a petri dish.

It's everyone for themselves. The Trump team doesn’t give a shit about you.

12. He may well have had an N95 on underneath it.

Masks of the shape he wears are typically large enough to cover an n95 mask.

He would not have wanted to wear it visibly - optics, and all - but I would not be surprised if he had one on undeneath.

is much easier than keeping them out -- since most of what you expel is on droplets. Patients usually wear surgical masks but a cloth mask is almost as effective.

and not for the use of the states. Everyone said "wtf?" but I guess he meant it was to use at his own corrupt discretion, to reward cronies, punish opponents, and stiff medical personnel and first responders.

"The notion of the federal stockpile is that it’s supposed to be our stockpile. It’s not supposed to be states’ stockpiles that they then use.”

13. I finally got my hands on an N95 mask today

But it's a KN95 mask, which I think are the ones from China that we don't know how reliable they are.

Ironically, I got it because I wore my Biden/Harris mask to work. My boss personally agrees with my politics, but didn't want to make the Trump supporters who work for the firm that sublets part of our office uncomfortable, so he offered me an extra KN95 mask to wear instead. I was a little disappointed about not being able to wear the Biden mask, but the mask he gave me is better in terms of protection, and the Biden mask was way too big on me anyway. I only wore it today because I couldn't find my other mask that fit better. I was going to give the Biden mask to my dad because it didn't fit, but now I'm thinking I can wear it over the KN95.

16. Yes, wear it over your KN95, if it doesn't make breathing too difficult.

But KN95 masks are readily available on Amazon, unlike real 3M N95 masks. KN95 masks are generally made in Korea and are good masks, but are not tight fitting with adjustable headbands like a N95 by 3M, which are made in the US. Usually the KN95 masks have ear loops instead of headbands, so they don't have as tight and protective a seal. But the material itself is good, not quite as good as a 3M N95 (the gold standard), but still good.

Follow your gut. It's OK to quit. New opportunities will come.

That being said, I hope they sue the shit out of them.
