That helicopter landed incredibly close to the White House.
Trying to cut down on his walk distance?
Keep him from being videod walking? I don't watch Marine 1 walks often, but this looks really close to the building for landing.

11. Likely. The only view being shown is the opposite side of the helicopter.
It's blocking the view of the White House door. Odds are good this is intentional so the helicopter can function as a screen. We won't see trump's journey from the WH to boarding, and given how it would look to the rest of the world, this is a good thing. I'm surprised we're seeing as much as we are.

7. Looking at Marine 1 in front of the WH now on CNN live.
I don't think there's any way they could stretcher him into it without the public seeing at least a little - unless the SS forces CNN et al. to cut the feed.

13. View to the door is blocked.
Noted, too, is "no prop wash". To me it means a weakness or "fatigue" to fight rotor down wash.
Med Evac flights, sometimes, come in hot. There is a lot of staging going on here. But, he is sick and they are doing everything possible to make him comfortable. That is what they do. Now, why wasn't the DPA put into place for PPE for the other 200,000 Americans. |

15. The rotor blades are NEVER turning while the president is not onboard.
The VH-3D "Sea King" has a clutched rotor system, which allows the engines to be running (which they ALWAYS ARE when it is on the South Lawn) while the rotors are still.
The President does not board or disembark Marine 1 when the rotors are turning. Ever. So there is never any "prop wash" until the aircraft is ready to depart. |

16. It's sitting in its normal spot.
The footage you are seeing is deceiving, but it is in the same spot it always lands at.
They have removable disks the pilots set the wheels on that are set in place when Marine 1 is expected. |

17. I think Brian Williams said they were trying to
block the camera angle. That implies Trump is in a bad way and he either can't walk without assistance or he's going to be so weak they'll have to wheel him out on a gurney.
