total antidotal thoughts that Trump is going to loose

I live in "Trump" country. Specifically outside of St. Louis county (Missouri). We are a red state with purple and blue spots, I live in the red. Lets use the time machine, dial it back to 2016, I leave the house to run errands, I pass on my street 3 or 4 Trump signs, plus lots of parked cars with Trump bumper stickers, as I exit the subdivision I enter "Trump Land", this is no lie, houses with Trump Flags, huge yard signs (4' x 6'), huge road signs (again 4 x 6 or larger) along the side of the road. I also have a couple of "Trump Pickups" that I would see, you know them, the big jacked up trucks (with never any dirt, or sign of being used as a truck), flying the Trump Flags (yes a minimum of 4 flags on these trucks, usually seen with 6, two in the front, either side of the headlights and one on each corner of the bed), and plastered with bumper stickers and magnet signs. The majority of cars I see have Trump bumper stickers, all the election signs are Trump, or at the least vote Republican.

This year, no signs on my street, only one car still wearing the Trump sticker, the others removed, or car traded, the new car no bumper sticker. Exit my street, only one house still fling the Trump flag, no yard signs for him, no road signs for him, I have not see either of the "Trump trucks" for a couple of months. Now I am not seeing Biden signs, but if you go by appearance only, they don't love Trump any more. I will admit, they could well still vote for him, or maybe not even vote or vote third party/write in, at the very least they are now ashamed to show public support. It's not much, it's only what I see, but shame is a good start.

We’ve got a guy here on one of the main drags in our little community who had at least a dozen trump signs up in 2016. Also had the big second floor balcony Trump bunting.

Our community has a 4 sign limit. In 2016, he fought it tooth and nail dragging chit out to the point where any decisions were going to be post election.

This year...he had his dozen or so signs out again since early September. (No bunting though). Yesterday, I noticed that all but one small sign came down and it’s right up against his garage like a little “security by...” sign.

Asked a city council member about it and, to the best of his knowledge, there were no complaints so the removal wasn’t because of any city action.

Fun to start watching supporters backing away in their own way.

Harbinger back to Greek class where the Greek word Luo ( loose) is used to explain declensions.

There was continuing confusion every class with somebody thinking that the sentence had to do with lose and not loose.

In a red area. I was just thinking the same thing coming back from the park. Zero drumpf signs, very, very few bumper stickers. No it's not scientific but the zeitgeist I'm getting is that they are (a, voting for him but not showing their feelings publicly or enthusiastically like last time; (b, are discouraged by the virus or job losses or his obvious idiotic incompetence and won't vote; (c, a few have come to their senses and will vote for Biden.

Call me crazy but I'm feeling good about things.

Oh, and about those clean trucks. In addition to those monstrosities being obvious symbols of compensation for their insecurities, they also can claim them as work trucks when they really aren't, getting a break on their tag.

And each time, I get stuck on whether it's possible to stay home in droves.
If a whole bunch of people don't leave home to vote, is it ever a drove?
But, it's such a convenient way to make the point!

but SHE might have swayed her mom to vote for Biden.

So, could be a 4 vote swing! And since I wasn't living here in 2016, consider that 5 votes towards the light in Texas from 2016.

Very much trump country, I actually was looking for trump signs to get a read on the climate. NONE! One trump flag flying with a blue lives matter flag. Actually saw a couple Biden signs though. One house I noticed a little while back where one of my elementary teachers lived way back when had one. I don't know if she still lives there, hope not, but there isn't a trump sign anymore.

I don't begin to believe most of those people aren't still voting for him, but at least they are ashamed of themselves (and I'm sure at least a few are not)

Because I think many that voted for him do NOT want to admit their first error. They have watched Trump now in office, and don't like it, but they STILL want to own the libs. At least do not want to help them to win in their own district. And so will hold their noses and vote Trump anyways. Because, to them, if he wins again, it means they WEREN'T wrong, that they are with the majority. And they have been exonerated.

Now if Trump loses, especially badly, many will all of a sudden have an epiphany. That Trump fooled them. How could they know? Of course the other half will get even more radical and crazy. They will never go away. Now supercharged after Trump won in 2016.

It seems the voter suppression from the right has gone up a notch, Texas guv removing ballot boxes, South Carolina wants to reinstate witness requirement, PA is preparing to fight the results, voter suppression robo calls in Michigan with only a month to go. It feels like it's coming from all sides. The gop is relentless in suppressing the vote.

We are just being lambasted, so it's nice to read that even through all of this, we still have a great chance to send drumpf and friends packing.

I sure don't think they'll vote for Biden.

Maybe watching others getting fired from their jobs because they chose to

I am still seeing the Trump Flags. Trump signs. Trump pickups, Trump boats, Trump banners, and Trump just about everything.
I’m in a place in Northern Michigan where only 5% of the people in my county have college degrees. There are still 8 Trump signs for every Biden sign I see.

All I can do is pray, and talk to people, and hope the rest of the state can offset the Trump support which is still here and crazy.

It’s going to be a close race- never give up!
