A gulf has opened between me and those who STILL support the monster in the White House. And, though I know it is not " the right thing to say", I don't ever foresee that gulf closing or even narrowing because I will not allow it.

I do not want to associate unnecessarily with anyone whose integrity, judgment, morals and courage are so deficient that they are utterly unreliable for any purpose. I also do not want to be involved in frequent arguments and confrontations with people who are fools, fascists or both. That would happen if I tried to "make nice" with them because I would call them that and worse when they tried masking their arrogant racism, misogyny and bigotry with a smile and a wink.

The handful of relatives who are still proud to fly his flag will get a nod at any funerals at which we unavoidably bump into them. Any who bother to ask why I am so "distant" will be told, in blunt terms, exactly why.

I did not cause this divide. They did. I have never belonged to the TEA Party, but I am proposing a "FEA" Party: "FUCK 'EM ALL!"

2. Living in the sea of thugs here in Maricopa County AZ..not so bad during summer..

live in 55+ and the snowbirds are arriving from SD ND ID NEB etc..for their winter stay..hubby and I, more specifically me, have had many heated discussions about his golfing buddies..only 3 are Dems..I have expressed my feelings about the thugs sitting their arses on our back porch...not happening..this really erupted last winter..

I explained to him they just goad him, instigate into erupting - hubby has a short fuse when it comes to DJT and they know it...so why entertain their stupidity..just a couple weeks ago..this one guy, sitting out back, used a racial slur ..hubby told him "I will NOT have that kind of talk in my home"..he hasn't seen him since.."I have had to do this with one of his buddies wife..

Hubby agrees to follow my wishes..NO THUGS..racists or bigot in MY space...and I have requested he stop engaging with them, it is not healthy for him to be in conflict..he needs to save his energy for me LOL..

where cruelty and greed are admirable traits and compassion and common decency are to be sneered at. Without a shared understanding of what is good and what is bad, there can be no conversation, no agreement, because we are not operating in the same universe. Imagine trying to talk productively to someone whose language includes the same words as your own, but the meanings of those words are completely different.

You don't have to fuck 'em. They are a different species from us and deserve to be kept safe, maybe in a zoo or museum, so they can be studied.
