Breaking: Singer Andy Williams has died...

Link to follow.

Yes, he was a RWer, but I think a lot will still remember him somewhat fondly from years past--especially the baby boomers.

This was from back in July: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2174211/Singer-Andy-Williams-returns-home-spend-dying-days-surrounded-family.html

The Moon River crooner, 84, is now at his Branson, Missouri, home surrounded by his wife, children and friends.

He has asked them to remember the good times and the music he has created over a career that has last three-quarters of a century.

Updated 5m ago

Sad news to report from the music world: Legendary singer Andy Williams died Tuesday night.

His rep tells Lifeline Live that Williams died after a year-long battle with bladder cancer. He was 84.

Williams passed away at home in Branson, Mo.,where he owns the Moon River Theatre. Moon River was one of Williams' signature songs.

The singer, who also had a residence in La Quinta, Calif., is survived by his wife Debbie and his three children, Robert, Noelle and Christian.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network.

I loved Moon River, but more for the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" than anything else...

Didn't know he was a right-winger. I remember watching his TV show when I was a kid.

although seems no one else was reporting this yet... but I think it now may have hit AP (which would put it about everywhere).

He sang so many of the wonderful "standard" classics as one of the great crooners of an era now fading away.

There is an area and a ski run named after Spider Savitch at Snowmass and I know that she lived in Aspen for years. Aspenites tend to leave people alone, so I'm not surprised she would stay there...
