Sad news to report from the music world: Legendary singer Andy Williams died Tuesday night.
His rep tells Lifeline Live that Williams died after a year-long battle with bladder cancer. He was 84.
Williams passed away at home in Branson, Mo.,where he owns the Moon River Theatre. Moon River was one of Williams' signature songs.
The singer, who also had a residence in La Quinta, Calif., is survived by his wife Debbie and his three children, Robert, Noelle and Christian.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network.

(128,872 posts)although seems no one else was reporting this yet... but I think it now may have hit AP (which would put it about everywhere).
He sang so many of the wonderful "standard" classics as one of the great crooners of an era now fading away.
