My first call was to a 74 year old lady in Jackson. I barely get past my introduction, when she says I'm not voting for that asshole. Of course that made my night, but it just got better from there. A very good night overall.

(53,758 posts)to do phone banking also but it's by the zoom app. I downloaded it but there was no proper training offered.
I've done phone banking previously the regular way before this pandemic and wanted to help but this is different.

(7,500 posts)They also have the zoom thing. I think a lot are doing that with virtual dialing. The system we are using in Mi. allows you to choose. They have a training session. I've done this for so long I just want to make calls. One reason I like my way is I can leave a message. I give them my name and number. I've probably actually had a dozen call me back in 14 weeks. I believe the system I'm using is called virtual phone banking. I have more tips from close to fifty years on phone if you are interested. Or maybe I'll just do a post on what actually works.

(7,500 posts)over your own phone with the computer screen giving you the numbers is they see a local number pop up. When I did it the other way a number I believe in New England was shown. People screening calls and some set to reject messages from outside a certain area are killers.
