Could've bowled me over with a feather.
I posted a while ago that in our small, rural, red town my still very Republican ex-GOP-county-chair and ex-GOP-County-Commissioner neighbor has been flying Biden and Vote Blue signs. They are now behind barbed wire. But since then...
Our house has been flying Biden banners on all sides of the corner. Our neighbor’s daughter from across the street the other way came to thank us for doing it, saying all these Biden signs make her feel like she’s in a good neighborhood. More Biden signs - and Wendy Davis signs - are popping up all over. There are a few more Dump signs, but The Side Of Light is well ahead. Today, our banners temporarily went down for porch painting. But wonder of wonders, our GOP neighbor made up for it. HE PUT UP A BLACK LIVES MATTER FLAG SIGN, Y’ALL!!!! *sniffle*

1. Encouraging!
Yes, we are seeing the same in our neighborhood, too. Lots and lots of Biden signs. We are happy to see support for Biden, especially as we live in a very red state. We still see Trump flags and signs, but in the past week it seems that lots of Biden signs have popped up.
I am glad to hear that it is happening elsewhere. Thanks for sharing this....I find it encouraging! ![]() |

25. All of Tarrant County is rooting for Wendy.
She was our State Senator when she did the filibuster. I sent her a little money and wish I could send her more.
I so want her to go to Congress ! |

28. .i forgot Wendy!
Thanks for the reminder. My daughter worked on her last campaign. I'll send her a donation today.
Why doesn't she make the suggested donation lists if it's a close race? I can't think how I missed her. |

Maybe minds are being changed?

12. I think they are.
He NEVER would’ve done that before.
But here’s another. I have a friend in town who was so Dump-humping she was ecstatic to go see his plane on the tarmac in a pouring storm in 2016. She proudly posted a photo back then where you could barely make out the plane, due to the storm. She flipped. This year she announced a split household, and was offering me and everyone else in town Biden signs. She’s committed, and so is most of her family now. |

18. Where do you live?
I know where Wendy’s district is, and have been sending her money. Hoping to move back to the Hill Country soon and would love to find an area that is at least purple, but I think that might be hard to do outside of Travis or Bexar County.

20. Comfort.
Comfort and Fredericksburg aren’t too toxic right now, but hoo boy - Kerrville and ESPECIALLY Boerne are bad. My husband and I just refer to Boerne as “rat-licker central” these days.
But hey, it’s looking up anyway. There were weekly BLM protests in Kerrville and Fredericksburg. There was even one... very well behaved one... in Boerne. |

26. after spending some time in Kerrville
I get how it could be tRump central. How the hell they took a location with natural beauty and filled it with Strip Malls and Fast Food Drive thru franchises every 100 yards is mindboggling.

10. Bravo! You mentioned Wendy Davis so you must be in TX.
So far none of my signs have been stolen so it's a good sign. A lady @Costco parking lot yesterday saw my Texans for Biden bumper sticker and said that was good to see. She said she didn't put one on her vehicle for fear of people keying her car or ramming her. We do have nutters with big trucks around here so i don't blame her.

27. Just awesome!
If you are looking for a purple Texas county, Hays fits the bill. Along the I-35 corridor it's kinda blue-violet. More violet-red in Dripping Springs. In Wimberley it's violet slightly redder than a pure mix. But there are plenty of blues too.
Part of our county could be represented by Wendy. Her opponent is just awful. But they're going very negative on her in their advertising. P.S. Have to agree about Boerne. Attractive to look at but very unfriendly too blues. |
