Sorry I completely lost it while attempting to ask my son the question. I was LITERALLY crying I was laughing so hard!! Note, my son is ONLY IN 5th grade and Romney is running for president.... The funniest thing is that he actually thought he was dumb for not remembering who Romney was, like oh DUH off tape.
from Obama Diary . . .

(4,325 posts)as smart as a new born baby! That man may have a lot of money that he has gotten the wrong way, but being smart isn't stealing from others.

(14,337 posts)Are you smarter than a 5th Grader? Apparently, Romney just flunked out!

(10,336 posts)not. Probably the wrong thread for this, but I was watching him standing there today at the airport with Boy Wonder, and someone else was talking. Mitt just had this look about him, his demeanor, his stance, and particularly his face and the way he tilts his head to feign interest...It reminds me completely of someone who is acting. And poorly. You can't fake some stuff, and he's trying...hard. I'm wondering if he will make it to November without completely cracking. And when he loses, as badly as he wants this (his whole life revolves around being a)rich and b)famous (his own words, saw it on tape this evening). The man needs an intervention of some kind, and maybe a psych evaluation in my opinion. He is actually completely detached from reality. Back in the day, I placed many, many people on 72 hour hold for psych evaluations for many of the same behaviors I see. I am sure hoping I am wrong, but if I am right, he is absolutely unfit to serve. jmho

(384 posts)Kids in 5th grade smarter than Romney and his supporters will make them very angry, and I certainly don't mind that.

I like your son's response. You should ask him (no laughing) more questions and create a series. What could we call it?
Oh, I know... how about- "Is Romney smarter than my 5th grader?"
