Since 2008 I have voted by mail in every election

I'm a californian and I've always thought vote by mail was the best way. With the illegal activity at USPS, and the uncertainty surrounding counting of the ballots, etc, I plan on doing something different. For the first time in more than a decade, the wife and I have committed to voting early on the first day of early voting in my state -which happens to also be my birthday. I also plan on bringing at least two others with me. What's your plan for voting??

We have excellent early voting here. Paper ballots which are then run through a scanner to make sure you didn't do anything like double vote. Nice.

Oh, and the location I usually go to, when there's a first time voter, usually a young person, they make an announcement, ring a bell, and everyone cheers. It's really nice.

I fill it out, with plenty of time to spare -- and have the option of either mailing it back, or dropping it in an election drop-box. Myself -- I don't have any real concerns with either option.

(Personally, I don't think all those rank and file people down at the post office are furiously conspiring to subvert an election -- but ...)

And -- ballot tracking is now available in many states -- so I might take a look at that too, just out of curiosity.

I am already rallying my large extended family and telling each of them to talk to friends about registering and voting. This election is the most important election in my lifetime so far.
