All Mitch said was that Trump's nominee would get a vote in the Senate.

He didn't say when....

He could easily have been thinking about a lame duck vote....

1. Robert just reported on MSNBC that his sources in republican circle said Mitch sent notes about how

to process that includes a vote before election. Some conservative senators wants the vote before election.

3. The Senate is only in session 13 more days...

Before they recess until after the election.

Obviously that can be changed but a lot of senators who are battling close reelections, they might not want to deal with this before the election. But go for it, I guess. Ram through a Supreme Court justice less than two months before an election.

5. He can definitely do it but he may not have the support of his caucus.

If a few of 'em in tough reelections bind together and say, "if you do this before the election, therefore monopolizing our time instead of letting us recess to go home and campaign, we're voting no on any nominee..." he might not have no choice.

2. Yes, the slimy bastard will wait for the lame duck session

With the election in the rear view mirror, repuke senators whether they won or lost will have nothing to lose with a vote for a SC justice

6. If done in a lame duck session, Schumer and democrats will have nothing

to loose with a filabuster or other delaying tactic, in particular if Democrats will be taking over the Senate or there will be a tie with Biden/Harris elected. We must simply vote and not let our vote be discarded by BS tactics, if we do that, we get the upper hand.

9. Filibuster is dead. Republicans did away with it

Otherwise Kavanaugh would have been filibustered.
