They are positively giddy.
People always like to pretend there is a such thing as karma and that good always prevails over evil. The reality is quite the opposite. I didn’t think I could be possibly be any more heartsick but every day brings a new low. I really can’t take much more of this. |

8. Two things.
1) They are trying not to act too gleeful.
2) They are bending themselves into pretzels trying to explain why the McConnell Rule was a good thing in 2016 but should be ignored by McConnell himself in 2020. |
