Trump's strategy?

He is going to do everything conceivable to win the election in November, by hook or crook. He will steal votes where he can. He will suppress votes where possible. He will attack like a madman.

But, after all the votes are counted, if he still loses the race for the White House, he will turn the job over to Mike Pence. Mike Pence can be the President of the United States for two months, with one condition. That he give a full and complete pardon to Donald J Trump.

Would Mike Pence agree to such a deal?

Is that unrealistic?

In the past, Trump has been able to drag out cases in court or pay off state officials. Would he be able to do that again?

he is a smash and grab type guy. Strategy implies a thought out plan with contingencies again not something he can accomplish. So he will wake up each day in a panic and do anything that pops in his pin head in order to win. He does not plan, he reacts.

Pence is just an empty suit, you would have to ask mother about the deal he may have made.

there is a reasonable chance this could happen.

Also, remember that Trump inexplicably changed his residence from NY to FL. Was that to avoid extradition on NY state criminal charges?

Dems have massive leads all over in early voting. Trump's campaign has poo pooed early voting and seems to be relying on a massive GOTV campaign on election day. Tells me that Trump is going to try to say all early votes should be thrown out.

not be legal as it would also be done with the intent to protect himself from prosecution so it would not be legit. They might go through the motions but could be contested as Pence is as guilty as -45.

Let that sink in.

Since the Senate didn't convict him. The pardon would not have anything to do with the impeachment itself, it is for any federal charges in the works.

An impeached president can also be prosecuted, regardless of the outcome of the impeachment. An unimpeached president (according to the constitution, and putting aside the corrupt DOJ memo) can also be prosecuted. Of course, the loophole is that DOJ is unlikely to prosecute their boss, especially with Jabba the Barr running DOJ.

just as the words of resignation leave -45's lips so that Pence becomes disqualified. That would leave Pelosi in the position for the brief time.

I know it's a dream but that would be ideal.

He knows it's jail for him otherwise. Pence can't pardon him for state crimes and NY has the dirt. Besides, his massive ego would never let him do that - he'd rather die than be known by all to be a LOSER.

Just subpoenaed by NY and a warrant issued for his arrest if he doesn''t show. He was a resident of NY when he was doing lots of crimes so they have jurisdiction to indict him. I believe that was the rule when I was filing cases many years ago.

I don't really care if Pence pardons him.

These mofos have committed so many crimes the new AG and NY AG will have a list of state crimes that would not be affected by a pardon.
