36. You can pile up alot of bling in 26 years and yes, she wasn't a slacker.

There's some Army medals and ribbons in that stack - Good Conduct, Army Service, probably at least one Outstanding Unit

33. You can salute anyone. It isn't illegal

Last edited Mon Sep 7, 2020, 06:43 AM - Edit history (1)

It goes ugly early when you don't and were suppose to.

In this case it's a hail and farewell from fellow enlisted and a token of respect for service rendered. She was a good noncom.

38. Excellent.

My father was an aux. policeman in our town. When he passed, the hearse drove through main street. Officers saluted but I thought that was because his coffin was flag draped.

He was a popular guy around town and about 500 people attended his funeral.

Your explanation brings a tear to my eyes.

37. She must have pissed in a few people's Wheaties in those 20 years

A good sailor should make Chief Petty Officer somewhere between 8 and 12 years; she retired as a First Class Petty Officer.

45. Credit goes to the four saluting to not break their attention,

indicating their respect for the ceremony and for the honoree, who is the one in charge and can do what she wants.
