Karen Hernest first son was killed in Afghanistan, wonder how she feels about her husband

Gen Kelly kept working for the man who disrespected her sons death. Was the money from Kellys board positions worth it?

From Kellys wiki page..."Kelly has been married to Karen Hernest since 1976. They raised three children together: Robert, John Jr., and Kathleen.[82]

On November 9, 2010, Kelly's 29-year-old son, First Lieutenant Robert Michael Kelly,[83] was killed in action when he stepped on a landmine while leading a platoon of Marines on a patrol in Sangin, Afghanistan.

The younger Kelly was a former enlisted Marine and was on his third combat tour, his first combat tour as a U.S. Marine Corps infantry officer. At the time of his death, Robert Kelly was with Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines. Robert Kelly's death made John Kelly the highest-ranking American military officer to lose a child in Iraq or Afghanistan.[84] Kelly's other son is a Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel.[85][86][87]

Wonder how his surving siblings feel about this?

2. Kelly absolutely has to respond.

I believe it is true - the story - but what Kelly has to say will be worth considering. If true, Trump is toast. If Kelly says it's not true....the questions are going to be (a) is this denial really true? (b) Or, is he covering for Trump? and (c) Why?

3. I think many of them keep their mouths shut in order to protect their access to the lucrative

wingnut welfare circuit.

5. Maybe Trump will respond for Kelly on this. Call it fake news.

Kelly is going to have to respond and confirm Trump's statement or refute it.

6. I don't want to believe it's true. I don't want to believe a father would sell his son's memory

and honor to trump. Nauseating thought.

7. We have Gold Star family with a Trump flag right across from us.

Their son was killed in Afghanistan in 2005. I can't imagine supporting someone who would say such disgusting things about dead and wounded soldiers.

But, their flag is still up.

And I doubt it will come down. Some way, somehow they'll buy whatever story the Coward-in-Chief will tell them about how this is all is nothing but fake news.

They've always been very nice neighbors. It's disheartening to see they've bought into the cult.
