2. I've been around a long time and have never heard of the 'levers of government'.

What are they connected to? Something that both obliterates AND destroys??

And my mother used to say some crazy $hit when she had dementia, too.

“levers of power” and “halls of government.”

Trump mixed the metaphor. While possibly a sign of dementia, it should be noted that Trump has never demonstrated strong verbal skills.
