But complements the mob connections to the concrete industry.

A very dear friend, and a good decent man, has a 40 yo son who has had a string of convictions for drug use, traffic offences etc. My friend mortgaged his house to pay for rehab for his son. The son was jailed again shortly after rehab.

The son is a concreter. I've met him and on the surface, he is a good guy. I heard him describe how the company he worked for sold the workers ice (meth). This is apparently quite normal in concreting companies. It makes them strong and tireless; increases productivity and prevents delays. Win-win.

Yes, it's possible that my friend's son is making up stories to excuse himself, but I've heard the same story from another source.

In the 80s it wouldn't have been meth, but speed, purple hearts etc. I believe there is much more to be investigated besides pouring slabs.
