Nothing demoralizes Trump more than low ratings.
So far, his "Convention" is not getting the numbers that Biden and the Democrats got at their Convention. That must really burn his ass?
Reportedly, last night's ratings were a record low for any Convention. I guess Mike Pence just doesn't turn the people on? Tonight is his last chance to defeat Biden in the ratings. Up to this point, I have not watched any of their "live" Convention. I see no reason to start tonight.

or otherwise. I don't want their cruddy electrons to infest my TV. I don't want to listen to the unhinged rants of white supremacists and lunatics. This has been my week to catch up on Netflix binges. Fuck those people.

I think now would be a great time for Trump to throw him off the ticket and replace him with someone else. C'mon Don, you can do it! THIS CAMPAIGN NEEDS MORE CHAOS!

Ask him how he feels about his low ratings and how flaccid they look next to the robust audience share Joe Biden and the Democrats got last week. I'm sure he'll have lots to say.

right wing rags were along the lines of "RNC ratings 6 times DNC for first night."
So all the dumbasses will believe that the RNC blew the doors of the DNC ratings. Because God forbid they ever hear a truthful thing. This is the DU member formerly known as Squinch.

Which makes it a stream of a stream. He's on Twitch, Facebook, and Periscope live, and then posts it on YouTube after he fact. I keep the volume just high enough to hear Hal's commentary, but not necessarily the speakers. (I'm more interested in giving Hal the numbers than I am the convention.)

19. Trump, the most corrupt (IMHO) and dangerous public figure in the western hemisphere
This man is deadly to your country and equally deadly to mine (I'm a U.K. citizen), this second part of my opening statement therefore gives me a moral right to comment on U.S. political situations.
Trump already knows, if Democrats vote in large numbers he cannot win the next election, however those who oppose the republicans generally do not vote because there is an attitude of 'no matter who wins this election my life will not change for the better, both parties are as bad as each other so where is the point. The Republicans win elections because their supporters, usually the more affluent in society, get out to the polls, because they know they have a vested interest in seeing people like Trump in the white house. For this to change a radical alteration of the mind-set of those at the lower end of the monetary scale, i.e. the poor, needs to happen, this can only happen by the message to get out and vote being passed on at the grass roots level. As in my country, yes we have the same problem with our Conservative party, people of the so called lower classes have lost faith in their politicians and what they say and with good reason mostly, as such, for change to happen, as I have said, there needs to be a change of mind-set fuelled at the base level, but before that can happen, the violent protests in your country need to end, all they are doing is giving Trump and his ilk reason to declare nation wide martial law and to use this to suspend your great constitution indefinitely, giving him what he wants, PERMANENT AND TOTAL POWER OVER YOUR LIVES, which would make the world a far more dangerous place than it already is !!!!!!!!CHANGE CAN HAPPEN, BUT YOU'LL NEVER KNOW UNLESS YOU TRY!!!!!!!! |

31. The thing with telling people to go put and vote
is that many have to take a day off from work to do it. Some have to stand in a line for 6,7,8 hours.
Yes there is mail in voting, but there are restrictions on it, depending on the state. Red states. They put say, 3 voting booths in poor and black voting districts for 8,000 voters. Usually 1 or 2 of them will break down at some point. The affluent districts get 10 machines for 3,000 people. The poor people have to lose a days pay to vote, while the rich can drop in any time and no wait. With Covid the lines were going to be worse and dealdly. which is why Democrats encouraged mail in voting. trump's Post Master General, has removed mail sorting machines from mostly blue areas, slowing the mail down. They have also combined and moved polling places, yet again. It is easier to get a gun than to vote. |

33. Kentucky and other Militias on the streets unchallenged by law and order departments
You people never cease to amaze, and not in a good way, your country has a fantastic opportunity to lead the world in social and racial reform for the betterment of all and yet you STILL derail any good the George Floyd protests have done by taking to the streets with weapons and I'm talking to both sides here, WAKE UP, armed conflict is the very thing Conman Trump wants, it gives him the perfect excuse to declare martial law, what do you think will happen to the majority of your people once he has suspended your democratic election process and constitution? Trump is dangerous enough NOW when he still has to answer to your nation, how bad do you think he will be when he gets what he wants, total control, and is answerable to no one? Not only are you potentially putting yourselves in grave danger but possibly the rest of the world too.
The world Knows that this muppet called Trump needs to go, along with the rest of his corrupt political system, but armed conflict is NOT the way ahead, only great harm can come from this Finally if you read this Donald, remember you stuck your nose into British politics, a place where it does not belong with your unwarranted and unwanted interference in the last British general election, yes, your endorsement of Bojoke (Boris Johnson to the uninformed) was considered to be interference of the highest order , so do not whine about a Brit getting involved in U.S. politics |

We understand that he is a danger to the world. We understand that the militias and the looters are playing into his hands. Some of us are doing everything we can do to make sure he is gone in January. We understand that the world will celebrate when he goes.
He is not just a national security threat - he is a global threat. |

35. Re "Preaching to the choir"
Hi Kentuck,
Many apologies if I've caused offence, such was not my intent nor was it to lecture the already enlightened. Whilst I'm certain that most of the contributors to this forum, like you and I, are extremely sensible and rational, wishing to get what they desire (usually a stable, and if not wealthy, reasonably comfortable living if possible), through due and lawful process, there are, I've found, within all elements of society, those who would cause disruption and strife to achieve their aims and it was these people I was hoping to maybe influence in some small way, some would say a cause already lost, however as I've previously stated, one does not know until one tries. Like many of your home grown contributors who have served in your military, I've served in my country's armed forces (British Army in Bosnia, Kosovo and Afghanistan), like the former I've seen the horrors of war first hand and would not see them visited on any other being, if in some small way I can try to prevent such from happening then I MUST try and I beg for a little forbearance in this matter |
